Ramos, a second-round draft pick in 2004, appeared in six games his rookie year but did not play for the Wizards last season, spending much of his time on assignment with the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBA's developmental league.
Ramos did not play in the Wizards' first two preseason games this year.
The seven-foot-three centre played for Puerto Rico in the 2004 Olympics.
